I. School Objective
1. Permission for the
use of the School and its facilities will be given for activities to those who
support the beliefs and practices of Faith Christian School.
2. Primary use of the
facilities is for the families of Faith Christian School. Community
related, service oriented, non-profit, and church activities will be considered.
3. Long-term commitments
for regular use will be made on a case-by-case basis and will be subject to
change to accommodate school priorities.
II. Application Guidelines
1. All requests for use of the facilities will be submitted in writing, at least 10
days in advance. An official request form must be obtained from the school
office, and must be signed by the person responsible for the on-site supervision
of the event. You will be notified when the application is approved or
denied.
2. The person responsible for the supervision of the event is
also responsible for the care and use of the facilities, behavior and conduct of
all persons related to the activity while on school property (inside or
outside).
3. The
supervisor/organization is responsible for any missing or damaged items that
result from the group’s use of equipment and facilities.
4. Supervisors/organizations that do not fulfill these responsibilities may lose
the privilege of using the facilities and/or be assessed a charge for
supervision during subsequent use.
III. General Guidelines
1. Use of the facilities
will be restricted to the portion of the building for which permission is
granted. The supervisor of the event must keep the group in areas that are
reserved for them.
2. Children under the age
of sixteen (16) who are not participating in the activity must be supervised at
all times by an adult.
3. All events must be
scheduled through the FCS Office. Facilities usage will not be
allowed if there has been no advanced scheduling.
4. Faith Christian School
assumes no liability for a group activity utilizing any of the facilities.
A Certificate of insurance is required for all groups requesting use of the
building. The certificate must indicate that Faith Christian School has been added for the activity.
Liability limits must be at least $1,000,000 for General Liability and
$3,000,000 Aggregate Liability.
5. No persons will be
permitted on the gymnasium floor for games unless they have brought with them a
change of shoes. Those shoes must be proper athletic shoes. No shoes
or equipment that leave marks or scratch the floor are allowed in the gym.
Absolutely no food or beverage will be permitted into the gymnasium at any time.
6. A calendar shall be
posted in the office of all activities as they are received on the respective
dates in order to keep the office and maintenance committee informed.
7. Faith Christian School
events take priority over other requests.
IV. Care and Use of Facility
1. The use of tobacco,
alcohol, or any illegal substance is strictly prohibited anywhere in the
facility or on school grounds.
2. The facility must be
returned to the manner in which it was found, including cleanliness and setup of
tables and equipment.
3. If an activity takes
place outside the normal school hours of operation, special arrangements must be
made with the school office to open and close the building.
4. The school may not be
used to house any dancing activity of any kind.
5. Infractions of any of
the rules can, and some cases will result in an immediate termination of the
activity at the school without refund, of amounts paid for facility use.
6. If the gymnasium will
be used, the supervisor must dry mop gym upon finishing with the scheduled
activity.
7. If your activity
requires food service of any kind, it must take place only in Kitchen and
commons area. All garbage cans must be emptied upon leaving
(dumpster is on the south side of building). Commons area must also be
swept and any spills must be cleaned up properly.
V. Groups and Basis of Charge
A. Members of Supporting Churches:
Groups composed of members or faculty, individuals or alumni from supporting
churches using the facilities for family gatherings, wedding receptions,
graduation parties, athletic groups, church youth groups, etc.
1. Families from
supporting churches required to qualify.
2. 1-3 hours - $50.00;
once a month fee or $100 for 2-3 times a month.
B. Non-supporting Church groups:
Groups or alumni individuals from non-supporting churches using the facilities
for wedding receptions, family gatherings, graduation parties, athletic groups,
etc.
1-3 hours - $75.00; once a month fee or $150 for 2-3 times a month.
C. Athletic Groups: Unorganized
athletics of alumni, college students home over the holidays, or post high
individuals who request the gym for recreational activities for a few hours on a
non-continuing basis… $3.00 per person. Minimum of $30.00.
D. Rental fees must be paid when the
application has been approved.
