Opportunities

"Are you ready?"

Educating the Complete Student
Understanding that the educational process is a multifaceted task not limited to academic and athletic development, Faith Christian School affords its students the opportunity to be involved in a wide array of student activities. These serve as valuable experiences which enhance the learning process and encourage students to utilize their God-given gifts and abilities.

Spiritual Life
Students have the opportunity to grow in their relationship with God through a
 variety of School-sponsored activities including:

- Weekly chapels featuring guest speakers.
- Annual Spiritual Enrichment Week, where daily assembly programs highlight a theme.
- Daily class devotions and prayer led by teachers and students.
- Student-led Bible studies
- Student song and praise time in Chapel led by the worship team
- Students who pray for one another and who seek opportunities to encourage classmates

Outreach and Special Events
Students are encouraged at an early age to think of others in their community.  Elementary students make visits to area nursing homes.  They also participate in Spelling Bees, Math Olympics, and Speech Meets sponsored by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).  Grandparents Day is an annual treat where grandparents and students enjoy the morning together in class.

Junior and senior high students participate in school-wide Outreach Days.  An entire afternoon is devoted to helping area organizations.  Students might spend time with a disabled child or might help a camp with clean-up projects.  The outreaches not only expose the students to people and organizations in need, but they also provide a great way to make friends and unify the classes.

Senior high students are required to complete 15 hours of community service each semester and junior high students are required to complete 10 hours of community service each semester.  This service program is designed to encourage our students to become involved in ministry at school, in their local churches, in community nonprofit organizations, in hospitals and nursing homes, or on an individual basis.

Students also participate in class and school leadership through Student Council and class officer positions.  Field trips to ski or ice skate or to enjoy theatrical productions or to experience the government in action also enhance the curriculum.
