Faith Christian School

Computer and Internet

Acceptable Use Agreement

2007-2008

For Students

Dear Parents,

With the availability of the Internet at Faith Christian School, we are offering students the opportunity to explore information and to communicate with people world-wide. This vast environment of the Net also raises issues of safety and appropriate use. In response to this concern, members of the Faculty have researched and consulted other schools on the issues of incorporating the Internet into the curriculum. In conclusion, educators agreed it is important that students be well informed of the Internet’s capabilities, as well as how to use it responsibly. FCS realizes that the internet is not the end all of education but must play an important role as a tool in today’s society.  The Computer and Internet Acceptable Use Policy recognizes the need to safe-guard our students, while enriching our core curriculum; with this in mind we ask that you read this policy over with your child. Please sign the agreement on the line below and return it to your teacher. Thank you!

I __________________________________ (student’s name) agree to abide by and act responsibly concerning the following Internet matters:
