AES Engineering Scholarship

To award our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. Students are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.

Applications are evaluated based character, as determined by the essays that are submitted

Students must submit an essay of no more than 1000 words in answer to one of the two questions below:

1. What do you consider to be the single most important problem that is facing society today? Why?


2. Why are you a good candidate to receive this award?

Seniors who intend to enroll in a postsecondary institution, which may be a public or private university, college or vocational / technical college

Residents of Wisconsin

Demonstrate probable success in postsecondary education

Ability to articulate goals in each of four areas: future educational goals, personal life goals, community / society service goals, and career goals

US citizen

Senior who plans to attend accredited 2 or 4-year college or university

Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in an activity in school, the community, or workplace

Graduate Spring, 2009

Attend 4 year college within the 50 states

Own and operate a genuine business, non-profits are eligible

Have at least one paid employee

Demonstration of entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating your own business while in high school

Up to $10,000 per year for all 4 years (total of $40,000)
