Elementary:
Building Strong Foundations. Equipping for Life. Educating for Eternity.Students in our elementary program enjoy a safe and challenging environment in which they develop critical foundational skills for learning. Phonics is the hallmark of the school’s reading program so that students can master the all-important function of reading, writing, and comprehension. In mathematics, students are steeped in math functions so that computation becomes second nature. Teachers in junior and senior high schools are grateful for the math foundations that students develop in our elementary program.
Our philosophy for social development focuses on developing a respect for those in authority and a love for fellow classmates. Character awards are presented each year to each student as a way of underscoring the importance of one’s character.
The spiritual philosophy of the program focuses on having a personal relationship with Christ as one’s Lord and Savior. Students are encouraged to trust in Christ and to develop their prayer life with Him.
The school’s philosophy for physical development at this age is to instill a love for teamwork and to teach the fundamentals of sports games. Physical education is conducted every day in order to encourage exercise and release some of that energy with which kids are well endowed.
