The Orton Gillingham Approach is an individualized program that helps students who are having difficulty in the areas of reading and spelling develop an understanding of how our language works.
The Orton Gillingham program is an approach to teaching children with reading, spelling and penmanship difficulties including dyslexia. It is intended for students of any grade regardless of reading level.
Each session engages learners in a one hour positive learning experience that has the student feeling good about what they have learned.

READING SPECIALIST: Joy Asta, B.S. Elementary Ed., 1-8, UW, Whitewater; IMSLEC (International Multi-sensory Language Educational Council) certified in Orton Gillingham approach; reading and language tutor, grade levels 1-7. Joy is the Director of Student Support and a member of FCS Supportive Services team.
