Family Lifestyle Statement

Faith Christian School respects all applicants and their families. We believe, as the Bible states, that God immensely loved the world, and that while we were yet sinners, He died for us. From the first contact with an interested family, intentional efforts are made to foster and maintain a partnership between home and school.

Parents are encouraged to determine whether or not FCS is the best fit for their family’s lifestyle and beliefs. On occasion, families with differing beliefs or alternative lifestyles have come to their own conclusion having left the initial tour or the family interview saying they love our program and wish they could ascribe to our beliefs.

It is vital to understand that FCS cannot compromise in our biblical values; nor could we permit children to remain in the uncomfortable position of choosing who they will believe, their school or their family.

Faith Christian School believes marriage is a sacred commitment between one man and one woman; children from that union are a gift (Ephesians 5:25; Genesis 2:24). Faith Christian School believes that God has created human beings as male or female with biological distinctions evident at birth (Genesis 5:2). We ask God for sensitivity and discernment when we speak about these and other family lifestyles. However, we would never compromise the biblical positions we have in any of our fundamental core beliefs or statement of faith.

Finally, Faith Christian School is committed to intentionally partnering with Christian families who have an understanding of the monumental challenges facing our children in the modern culture. To that end, each family with a student entering the school for the first time, families with students entering 5th grade, and families with students entering 9th grade are required to attend an annual workshop designed to inform and equip parents to biblically parent their kids in the digital age. Topics such as cyber-bullying, sexting, and pornography are tackled with biblical purpose. The goal is to leave the workshop informed about the challenges of parenting our children in these areas, having committed to effectively provide accountability to our students, and committed to mutual accountability to each other as parents and educators.
