Serve the Community

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.  – Galatians 6:2

See below for some great opportunities to serve our community and receive required community service hours!

Community Service can get a bad rap. We don’t do it because it looks good on a college application, or to get our school’s name out in the community, or because we think our students aren’t busy enough. We do it because we believe that’s what we’re called to do.

Shortly after Jesus spends time washing his disciples’ feet, he tells them about a new commandment that he gives them: A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35).

So, because we feel called to love our community, we want to serve them in love. Therefore, we ask all our High School students to complete 15 hours of community service each semester, and all Middle School students to complete 10 hours of community service each semester.
