Faith Christian Students Honored in Congressional Art Competition

We are excited to celebrate a remarkable achievement in the arts at Faith Christian School! Two of our high school students, Will Bensheimer and Emily Sorensen, were honored with Congressional Recognition of Excellence in Art by Congressman Bryan Steil as part of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition.

Out of all high school student submissions across the state of Wisconsin, Will and Emily were named among the top 24 student artists—an incredible accomplishment and a testament to their artistic talent and dedication. Due to prior athletic commitments, they were unable to attend the ceremony on Saturday, May 3, but Mr. Turnbaugh and Mrs. Bensheimer proudly accepted the awards on their behalf.

The Congressional Art Competition is a prestigious national high school art competition sponsored by members of the U.S. House of Representatives. It is designed to recognize and encourage excellence in student art. Winning pieces are displayed in the U.S. Capitol and in congressional district offices, spotlighting the talent of young artists from across the country.

At Faith Christian School, we are proud to see our students thrive creatively and be recognized on a national level. Will and Emily’s achievement showcases the incredible artistic talent in Wisconsin and reflects our commitment to developing the whole student—academically, spiritually, and creatively.

Congratulations to Will Bensheimer and Emily Sorensen—two of Wisconsin’s top student artists in 2025!
