A Day at Camp & A Year in God’s Word
On April 25, our Kindergarten through 5th Grade students spent a meaningful and joy-filled day at Covenant Harbor! From exciting camp activities to time spent in worship and the Word, the day was a perfect blend of fun and faith-building. We are so thankful for opportunities like these to help our students grow spiritually outside the classroom.
As we’re winding down the school year, we’ve been keeping busy with some wonderful opportunities that challenge our students to finish well and to see God in all they’re doing. These final weeks are filled with reminders of God’s faithfulness and invitations to keep pressing on in both learning and faith.
This retreat was a powerful complement to what our elementary students have been learning all year through our Bible curriculum, “The Biggest Story.” Since the beginning of the school year, we’ve been walking through 104 foundational Bible stories—and we’re now more than halfway through! This spring, we’ve been learning about the life and ministry of Jesus, with recent lessons covering stories like “Confessing Christ” (Matthew 16) and “Glory Mountain” (Matthew 17).
One of the things we love about this curriculum is how it connects the home and school in spiritual growth. Each week, students bring home a verse of the week that ties directly to what they’re learning in class, giving families the opportunity to engage in Scripture together. In addition to memory verses, there’s also a podcast, videos, and content available for younger siblings—making it a great resource for the whole family.

Milton House Museum for Civil War Day
Our 4th and 5th grade students will be heading to the Milton House Museum for Civil War Day! This interactive field trip runs from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and brings history to life as students explore what life was like during the Civil War era. Through hands-on activities, reenactments, and guided tours, students will gain a deeper understanding of this important time in American history. The Milton House is also a significant historical site, known for its connection to the Underground Railroad. It’s sure to be a fun and educational day!
Q&U Wedding
A fun and memorable tradition for our Pre-K class as they celebrate the special union of the letters “Q” and “U”—a charming phonics event highlighting early literacy.
Celebrating Our Kindergarten Graduates!
As the school year wraps up, we have two very special events to honor the amazing journey our Kindergarten students have taken this year — from learning to read and write, to growing in confidence, character, and faith. These milestone moments mark the exciting transition from early education to the elementary school years.
May 22 – Graduation Walk & Senior Chapel
Kindergarten parents, you won’t want to miss this unforgettable event as our youngest students help send off our oldest!
- 1:30 PM – Parents are invited to join us on the playground for cap and gown photo opportunities.
- 1:45 PM – The Kindergarten class will walk hand-in-hand with our seniors in a special hallway parade.
- 2:00 PM – During the Senior Chapel, our Kindergarteners will share a few words of encouragement and wisdom with the graduating Class of 2025. Kindergarten families are welcome and encouraged to attend this heartwarming celebration.
May 28 – Kindergarten Graduation at 1:30 PM
It’s time to celebrate your child’s first big academic milestone, to recognize the incredible progress your child has made — from sounding out letters to reading their first books, writing full sentences, memorizing Scripture, and learning how to love and lead like Jesus.
- Location: FCS Commons
- Time: Ceremony begins at 1:30 PM, followed by a short reception.
- Dismissal: Graduates will go home with parents after the event (around 2:15 PM)
